Just days after launching his campaign for Texas Senate, District 7, Paul Bettencourt is racking up an impressive list of local Republican Party leadership endorsements. Bettencourt kicked-off his candidacy on the heels of Dan Patrick’s announcement that he would be a candidate for Lieutenant Governor, opening the seat for election on the 2014 ballot.
“The phone calls are pouring in. The support we are garnering is truly humbling,” Bettencourt said. “Since we kicked-off the campaign just four days ago, we have received the endorsement of over one-third of the Republican Party Precinct Chairmen in Senate District 7 and the endorsement of both State Republican Executive Committee members.
“The social media component of the campaign is new to me. It’s not something that we used when I first ran for Tax Assessor-Collector. We started on Thursday afternoon with zero likes. We’ve now got nearly 250. I’m amazed at the support.
“My campaign announced Friday, just 24 hours into the campaign, that we had been endorsed by: Steven Hotze, Terry Lowry, and Gary Polland and their respective organizations: Conservative Republicans of Texas, The Link Letter, and the Texas Conservative Review. I consider that a huge accomplishment.
“We’re updating the endorsement page daily. So check it out at www.PaulBettencourt.com,” Paul concluded.
